Christoph Schwöbel: Theology in Conversation

After a brilliant career in England and Germany, Prof. Schwöbel took up the Chair in Divinity at St Andrews in 2018. A pillar of the theological academy, founding Senior Editor of the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology, and friend to all, Prof. Schwöbel has been mourned since his untimely death in 2021. Delegates are invited to join in considering the impact of his work.

Cusanus Society of UK and Ireland

This conference will cover a wide range of topics relating to the work and writings of Nicholas of Cusa (1401–1464), including influences on his writings, his own thought and that of his contemporaries, his later influence, and his potential role in constructive theological and philosophical thought today.

Music & Spiritual Realities

Music seems to sit at a boundary point between the spiritual and physical. What is it about the human experience of the divine that compels expression through music? Bringing together leading scholars from diverse fields in both the sciences and the arts, the goal of this workshop is to build a methodological toolkit for measuring the spiritual dimensions of music.

UK Association for Buddhist Studies

The theme of this year’s conference explores boundaries – between religious ‘insider’ and ‘outsider’, between academic disciplines, between religions, and between those inside and outside the academy.
