Authors: Aleksandra Djuric Milovanovic, Kiran Bali, Yahya Sergio Yahe Pallavicini, Schlomo Hofmeister, Jason Yabal
The panel addresses the theme of religious cultural heritage as a new concept which refers to the protection of religious spaces/buildings, rituals or practices. The complex nature of the term religious cultural heritage, enhances the need for sharing different perspectives and understanding of religious community representatives, underlying the important role of interreligious dialogue in protecting and promoting religious cultural heritage in Europe. Gathering representatives of different religious communities, the panel will address the main challenges that religious cultural heritage faces but also bring new perspectives and possible policy directions on the role of religious communities in Europe in the protection of religious cultural heritage.
